Rear Window Graphics – Add Style Or Advertise On Your Vehicle

Rear window graphics are generally printed on perforated vinyl. When the graphics is seen the holes are not obvious, and it creates an illusion making the graphic look like a solid image. It creates a statement on your vehicle, and can virtually fit any vehicle. They are easy to apply and when you are finished, easy to remove.

There are plenty of styles to choose from – flames, flowers, motorcycles, horses, patriotic images, skulls, sports, military, animals, and so on. They come in three sizes to fit most vehicles. They can be washed with soap and water and are also safe for most automated car washes. It can also be removed by peeling it off beginning at the upper left or right corner and proceeding to slowly peel it back. You can also use a scraping edge to assist you.

They are composed of paper film, and the printing is done on the upper side of the paper stock. An adhesive layer is applied to the bottom of the paper stock and a silicone or release coating layer is applied to the upper side of the backing material and a paper or film liner provides the bottom layer of the label. There are many different variations of these graphics. There is the water-slide and the vinyl peel-and-stick. A water slide is screen printed on a layer of water-soluble adhesive that has to be placed in water before application. A peel and stick decal is a vinyl sticker with adhesive backing that can be transferred by peeling off its base.

The life expectancy of rear window graphics is between 5 to 7 years. So what size of decal should you get? You can measure your windshield but most cars will fit a 4″ x 40″ decal. Vinyl decals and graphics can be applied to any smooth surface such as windows, doors, hoods and windshields. They can be applied to motorcycles, trucks, cars, or virtually anywhere. Do not take your car through a car wash immediately after installing the graphics. You need to wait at least 24 to 48 hours before washing your car.

The graphics, once adhered, will stay that way until you decide to remove them. Vinyl graphics and decals can easily be removed. One way is to heat the decal by using a heat gun or hair dryer. Then carefully lift the edge of the decal.
